I started my career back in 2000 working with online shops and agencies in Brazil. In 2005 I went freelance in order to have more time to develop my own illustration skills.
I like to mix textures, illustrations, collages, nature elements, sometimes I mix just texture and illustration, sometimes I just go for collages. I like to have different ways but always following the same style.

I really love nature, the silence of nature and the organics and detailed forms of plants and flowers always has been an inspiration for me. I am always trying to add something from nature in my projects.
It depends on the project, I usually do research on a client and once I’ve got a better insight the client I then start doing some sketches. After that I go for some elements which always give me ideas in order to make the piece, but then sometimes I do the opposite, there are no set rules.
Also depends of the project, some weeks are really crazy and I don’t get sleep at all, and some weeks I can handle everything and go to bed like a normal guy. For busy weeks 80 hours, normal weeks 70 hours, I guess. But to be honest I’m always working.

I love jazz, Indie, alternative, blues, I love folk, rock, I also listen to a lot of Brazilian singers which reminds me a lot my country.
I admire my friends and my father, I have friends which have been fighting to get where they are right now, those things inspire me a lot. I like fighters, I admire people who never give up.

I like a lot of sites, I’ve been checking out: Reform and revolution, Preik.no, www.booooooom.com, QBN, Digital Abstracts, Cpluv, flylyf, design you trust, and I like Behance a lot.
I just would like to say thanks so much for invited for this interview, I really appreciated it. It always good to have websites like Monarkh.
